Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby, the leaders in postnatal and prenatal exercise for new and expectant moms, have again partnered with Pregnancy Awareness Month (PAM). Founded by holistic lifestyle expert Anna Getty, the May campaign aims to empower pregnant women and families with information and inspiration relating to four key initiatives: education, exercise, nutrition & wellness and nurture.
In support of the second annual PAM, Stroller Strides/Fit4Baby will offer free classes across the country during PAM Exercise Week for new participants (May 10-16); provide a month of complimentary classes to one lucky PAM sweepstakes winner; and participate in various other activities associated with the campaign.
Stroller Strides/Fit4Baby founder Lisa Druxman will also serve on the PAM Advisory Board with actress Ricki Lake and model Josie Maran, among others.
“We’re very happy to again lend support to Pregnancy Awareness Month,” said Druxman, a pre/postnatal fitness expert and author of LEAN MOMMY. “With the recent launch of our Fit4Baby prenatal exercise classes nationwide, we’re excited to be a part of this fun and effective campaign that gives women the tools to make healthy lifestyle changes for themselves and their children.”
PAM will kick off with a free lifestyle event, “Motherhood Begins Now,” on Saturday, May 2, at Little Dolphins in Santa Monica, CA. Designed for expectant moms, women considering pregnancy and families of newborns, attendees will be treated to a maternity fashion show, mini exercise and prenatal yoga sessions, panel discussions with pregnancy and child development experts (including Druxman), a delicious organic lunch, mobile spa services, children’s activities and more. Hosted by Getty, presented by Seventh Generation and Hot Moms Club, and sponsored by Pregnancy Magazine, a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Healthy Child Healthy World.
In addition, each week of May will be devoted to one of PAM’s four key initiatives and supported by internet and expert advice provided through www.pregnancyawarenessmonth.com. During Exercise Week, May 10-16, free Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby classes will be offered at the country’s more than 800 locations, and those who sign up to receive information from PAM will also be eligible to win a month of free classes.
